I am here to complete my achievement three task after reading and doing research about plagiarism.

what is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the act of representing an authors work as your own without the permission of he author or without given credit to the author in other words its the act of copying someones ideas without his consent.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

plagiarism should not be tolerated and one should desist from there are various forms of plagiarism they are self plagiarism, accidental plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism,direct plagiarism.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM

As the name suggest its the word for word documentation of another authors work without attributing the source of the idea or work or without the use of quotation marks

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

This is when an author tries to change the work by rephrasing the original authors work by finding synonyms to the original work without stating the source it. This form of plagiarism is not easily detected.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

Accidental plagiarism occurs when one fails to site properly the source from which he is copying the work from due neglect or inexperience so i therefore advise everyone to learn how to properly site their sources so that we do not plagiarize accidentally.

SELF PLAGIARISM

As the name suggests is the act of documenting an already documented work already submitted somewhere. for an example you are not allowed to submit your work twice even if its a similar questions is been asked.

EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM

• Tarnishing of student reputation
• punishable by fine
• multiple cases of plagiarism can lead to expulsion in a certain community on steemit.
• legal repercussions.

WAYS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

• Make sure you always run your works in plagiarism checker before you submit your work
• make sure you properly cite your work if you are quoting form any source.
• Try to be very creative when creating or writing your work.
