Greetings wonderful @steemians, welcome to Achievement 6 the i will say final but not because after this i will do a compilation of achievement one to six so anyway i am excited to see this through and without waisting your time let's go.

MY UNDERSTAND ON HOW VOTING AND CURATION WORK IN STEEMIT.
In the steemit platform voting works on users being rewarded by curating, curators are always given Half of the reward like 50% while the other 50% go to the authors. there is upvote and downvote, upvotes mean voting in support while down vote means voting against. While it is rare to see downvotes it is because downvotes are normally given to authors who are not original meaning they post plagiarized contents.

Votes reward depends on the high sp of the curator meaning the higher the steem power the higher the reward, users with less than 500 sp votes 100% while users with upvotes more than 500sp can reduce the votes reward through sliders meaning they can reduce the 100% to 50%.

WHAT HAPPENED IF YOU VOTE A POST BEFORE 5 MINUTES MARKS AFTER POSTING
I will explain what happens when you vote a post before 5 minutes after the author post it.

In the first minute the curator receives 20% out 100% of the 50% earned.
In 2mins, the curator receives 40%.
In 3mins, the curator receives 60%.
In 4mins, the curator receives 80%.
In 5mins, the curator receives 100%
Any remaining reward would be returned to the pool.

In the steemit platform they are good communities and also bad communities that is why i am going to give 3 list of community i will join.

1). Steem Crypto Academy
This community is the community i have been waiting looking for in other platforms and i found it in steemit, it teaches about cryptocurrency and it is engaging as well.

2). Steem Alive
This community is 90% african and it is nice because i feel welcome and it also has a good moderator who makes the community interesting.

3). Project hope
This community is where i normally go to see current crypto news in english and the goo thing about the community it is like a club so once you join you have to play your part.
