1. Current steem price and volumes

Logging into the Steem you would see the saltest price and volume of Steem, you would noticed the Height and supply of Steem which is at 56,497,871 and 388,756,841 respectively. Below is a detailed chart which shows the price action of Steem which you can filter to show the daily, weekly,monthly, quarterly and yearly price action of Steem.

2. Latest transactions and latest block sections

Under the latest transactions are : the block ID, the users ID, sender , the receive or perm link ID, amount in % and also the type.Under latest blocks you would see just the Id and block transactions.
The latest transaction shows the list of all the transactions which include votes, delegation, comments and others, being carried out on the Steem blockchain .

3. The witness section tab

The witness page shows all current and active witnesses, showing the ranks of the different Steem Witnesses and the amount of Steem mined it also shows their version, their price fee, Reg fee, and status.

• How to vote a witness

To vote a witness you go to the witness tab, click on an active witness then click on vote. you would see a new web page, click on continue

You would be direct to the next page where you can put your private posting key and user name then click “get started”.

The next page it shows is where you can approve the witness vote. clicking on approve, a green tab containing the ID of the transaction would be shown.

Then clicking on continue, login in with your active key to complete your voting.

4. DApps

Dapp's is a decentralized apps which means it has no control body. When you say centralized it means that it’s been controlled by a single body. Dapp's enables you to be part of other crypto networking services. In Steemscan, this is The DApp’s page.
