Achievement 6 task by @jairoi: understanding curation and community

Hello steemians. I am very happy to be writing about my achievement 6 today. I want to thank everybody that has been on my journey through these achievements. I am very grateful for your time and support. This isn’t the end of my journey so I would like you guys to keep supporting me and guding me through. Today I am going to be talking about understanding curation and community.

              VOTING 

Voting refers to the awards given to steem users for making good and quality post on the steem platform. There are two types of votes which are

• Downvote
• Upvote

Whenever a downvote is given on a post, it means that post has gone against the rules of the steem platform. They are so many other reasons why a person may get a downvote. When the rules are gone by precisely then no one will downvote you.

When a upvote is given on a post it means the post is product and educative and can lead to the progress of the steem platform. When a upvote is given on a post it will increase the amount of rewards you get depending on voter’s steem power and their reputation. Note that the amount of rewards you get also depends on your steem power and reputation. The higher it is, the greater the reward. the lesser it is, the lesser the reward.

              CURATION

Curation refers to the votes given by curators to steem users that posts on their account. Is the process of rewarding users for their steem post. Both the curator and the user has a share of the vote the curator gives. That is, they share 50% each of what the post may have earned. For example if 50% of the reward goes to steem power then they will have to share 25% each and so on. So in simply put, curation is the rewards you get by upvoting other people’s votes. Other people can also upvote your posts and they can be your curators too. So when you upvote a post you will earn the reward of a curator.

              REWARDS

These are the upvotes or monetary values one gets from participating in the steemit activities like posting curating and others. The rearward can be steem,steem power and SBD.

        COMMUNITY

These are groups on the steem platform that users join to share their posts. Every group has their rules and regulations that every member should go by.

        HOW CURATION WORKS

There is something we call steem pool which consist of the author, the curator and the block producer. All of these users gets a share of what ever reward a post might have gained

So the reward pool between the cuarator and the author is 75%/25%. That means that 75% of the post earnings will go to the writer of the post which is the minimum and the 25% will go to the curator which is maximum. There’s really changes to when the post is curated within the first few minutes of the posts.

            VOTING MANA

Voting mana is an energy percentage given to an author on the steem platform that will enable the user to post and and make other activities on the platform. As the person makes this activities, the voting mana reduces. The voting mana is toped up everyday by 20%

HOW VOTES WORK ON THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF A POST

If you vote on the first minute of a post, you will get 20% of the reward you initially was suppose to get, which is 50% and 80% goes to the reward pool. The second minute, 40% of the reward comes to me and 60% goes to the reward pool. Third minutes, 60% of the reward comes to me and 40 goes to the reward pool. Fourth minutes, 80% of the reward comes to me and 20% goes to the reward pool. And lastly, the Fifth minute, 100% of the reward goes to me. You will get all 100% of the reward from fifth minute and above. So is advisable to wait until the fifth minute to get all 100%.
