[Symptoms that may occur before and after the diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia in children]

With the spread of new coronary pneumonia, more and more children have unfortunately been diagnosed. The Ministry of Health posted a post on its Facebook page, sharing that most of the confirmed children are mild or asymptomatic. In addition, the post also mentioned the symptoms that children may have before and after the diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia. Guardians are urged to pay more attention to the child's condition and seek medical advice immediately if symptoms occur.

If the following symptoms occur before the diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia:

1. a cough
2. Fever
3. Headache
4. Difficulty breathing
5. Diarrhea
6. Vomiting
7. Lethargy
8. Loss of taste / smell
9. Have had close contact with the confirmed person
10. Just returned from abroad within 2 weeks

If the guardian finds that the child has the above symptoms, please take the child to the clinic to get an evaluation by the medical staff and be tested for new coronary pneumonia.

If the following symptoms occur after the diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia:

1. Continuous cough or cold for more than 7 days
2. Shortness of breath / difficulty breathing
3. Lack of vitality
4. Lack of appetite
5. Chest pain and abdominal pain
6. Cold hands and feet
7. Symptoms of dehydration, such as: decreased urine output, dry lips
8. Changes in mental state, such as: lack of energy, lethargy
9. Epilepsy
10. Constant fever
11. Persistent or worsening nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
