WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

Source

1. Direct plagiarism

2. Paraphrasing plagiarism

3. Self plagiarism

4. Mosaic plagiarism

5. Accidental plagiarism

  • DIRECT PLAGIARISM

It is also known as clone plagiarism. It is the worst type of plagiarism. This involves word to word copying of someone's post or thought without showing the source. Sometimes people copy others work and later change some words. It is still direct plagiarism. It is a total cloning of someones post

  • PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

This is when you change some words from the original text of the owner. It is also plagiarism. Instead of you quoting it and then show the source of your post.

  • SELF PLAGIARISM

This is the act of using back or reusing your old words, thoughts or idea in your new writing without acknowledging the audience that it is from your past works.
It is the act of copying your own self.

  • MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

It is the combination of words from different site to make it looks like original

  • ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

As the name implies, it is when you post someones idea that is not perpetual. Though it is not purposely it is still plagiarism and not accepted

WHY DO PEOPLE PLAGIARIZE

The reason behind plagiarism are :

  1. People plagiarized so that the will be awarded with marks that they doesn't worth
  2. People plagiarized because they don't wants to fail
  3. People plagiarized they don't know that it is against the community standards.

SOLUTIONS TO PLAGIARISM

Since plagiarism is against the community standards below are some steps to end it

  1. We should always use plagiarism checker to check our writing before posting it.
  2. We should not stop learning so that we can stand on our own
  3. We should always express our things in our own way
  4. We should be creative always.
  5. We should always punctuate the copied text and indicate the source
  6. We should always acknowledge the original author of the text we are posting
For instance I copied this text from someone so I have to punctuate it and show the source
