Achievement 2 Task: Basic security on steem@iamvee 11-05-2022

Hi guys, this platform is indeed very wonderful and I'm glad to be a part of it. I've been unable to continue with my achievement tasks until now due to some reasons. But now I'm fully ready to continue with them without any disturbance whatsoever. The STEEMIT keys are very important as well as the need to learn their uses and how to keep them safe.

QUESTION 1
Have you retrieved all your keys on STEEMIT?

Yes i have retrieved all my keys on STEEMIT. To my knowledge,it is the very first thing i should do before even attempting to do any other thing on the platform.

QUESTION 2
Do you know each of these functions and restrictions?

Yes i do,the keys are private posting key, private memo key, private active key and the private owner key. I will briefly explain the uses of each key for better understanding;

THE PRIVATE POSTING KEY: This particular key is very important .It is used to login into Steemit.com and also to perform social actions such as posting, commenting on posts also voting on posts.

THE PRIVATE MEMO KEY: This key is also as important as every other key. It is used to decrypt private transfer memos.

THE PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY:This key's function is also very important. It is used for actions that involves money or wallet related rather such as transfer of tokens or powering steem up and down

THE PRIVATE OWNER KEY: This key is the most important of all .It is used to reset all your other keys.You can use this very key to recover your account within 30 days if compromised.

QUESTION 3
How do you plan to keep/secure your master password?

I'm very sure my master password is very safe and secure with how i have kept it. I saved it on my notepad,my Gmail account and it's well written on my personal jotting note and kept in a safe and secure place.

QUESTION 4
Do you know how to transfer your tokens to another STEEMIT account?
Yes i do, check below for the step by step process on how to do it;
Step 1: Login into your steem wallet using your username and private active key

Step 2: Click on the first STEEM on green and click on transfer

Step 3: You will be taken to a page where you will have to input the person's username, amount and memo. Once you're done filling, click on next...

Step 4: You will be taken to a page where you will have to comfirm all the details you filled in the previous page and click on ok.

QUESTION 5
Do you know how to power up?

Yes i know how to power up, check below for a simple explanation on how to go about it;

Step 1: Login into your wallet using your username and private active key;

Step 2: This is very similar to the fourth question but this time around you're clicking on power up instead of transfer;

Step 3: You will be taken to a page where you will input the amount and click on power up;

Step 4: Confirm your transaction and click on Ok

Step 5: Input your active or Owner key or master password to complete your transfer and click on sign in.
