What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is an unethical practice where you directly copy someone's work or you copy someone's work and don't even give them credits. You take advantage of someone's content and present them as your own. A very unethical thing to do.

According to studies there are basically four different types of plagiarism.

a) DIRECT PLAGIARISM: This is when you copy someone's content as it is without even giving them credits

b) SELF PLAGIARISM: this is when you resubmit your own old work.

---

c) ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM: When there is no proper citation of the sources of content used in an article or any content. When you unknowingly use a line which may have been used by someone else before you.

D) MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: when you copy someone's idea but just change the words by using similar words.

HOW CAN YOU AVOID PLAGIARISM

Always give sources if you're copying someone's work. Give quotations on sentences which have been taken from somewhere else.

So this is it regarding the etiquette. Make sure you don't plagiarise someone's hardwork and present it as your own.
