Greetings to all steemians, i am happy my achievement 1 and 2 have been verified and i want to use this opportunity to thank everyone here. As i continue to write my achievement 3 may God guide me till the end.

         PLAGIARISM:

Plagiarism is the representation of another person's work, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. Plagiarism is a violation of set rules be it in academic or an organised institution and a breach of principal ethics.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism can be avoided through the following ways:

-Citations

-By Paraphrasing of your text

-By using quotation marks

-By getting the help or by using plagiarism checker

By presenting your own ideas.

Direct Plagiarism

Direct plagiarism is the most obvious form of plagiarism. This means taking someone else's ideas or work and claiming them as your own, without citation. Even if you delete or change a couple words here and there, it is direct plagiarism if the majority of the structure and words are the same.

Self Plagiarism

Plagiarism often involves using someone else's words or ideas without proper citation, Self-plagiarism means reusing work that you have already published or submitted for a class. It can involve: Resubmitting an entire paper. Copying or paraphrasing passages from your previous work.

Mosaic Plagiarism

Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the original owner's work while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original.

Accidental Plagiarism
Another common form of plagiarism involves accidental plagiarism. When the plagiarist misquotes the phrases or parts of the text he/she has taken from the source material or does not cite the source even or adequately or cites a wrong source, they that is considered as plagiarism.
