Achievement 3:content etiquette (plagiarism) by @helen20. 15th january, 2022.
Good day great steamians. I have successfully done my achievement 1 and 2, all thanks to @cryptokannon for the support. Now i want to kick off with the third achievement which is PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism means taking people's word or idea and pretending they are yours. It can simply be called copy and paste. Taking other people's idea without quoting or citing the source where its being copied from, which is a very bad thing to do and it's becoming a social issue which needs to be addressed. 🥺
There are ways in which people get involved in this act which includes:
1: copying a direct word to word of another persons work without including their name.
2: changing the words of other people's work.
3: taking someones idea and putting your name on it.
Some of the reason why people copy and paste is just to impress others, making them believe who they are not. Some thinks that its saves time and less stress, while we all know that it makes no sense at all.
Plagiarism is a serious issue and needs to be avoided because it can lead us into trouble. Lets be mindful as not to forget to put down the names of people who we copied from in our writings. When we are used to working hard and also likes making research and doing things on our own, we find out that we avoid the risk of being tempted to PLAGIARIZE.
Finally, lets all come together, join our hands and say no to PLAGIARISM.
