I’m Hansi Dissanayake, a Sri Lankan citizen living in the city of Colombo at Gothatuwa New Town, I.D.H. I’m a 29 year old lady, a mother of a 8 months old baby boy.

I owe an educational institute of my own and I’m the Deputy Principal of our institute. I, my husband and our little boy are living in a two story house situated in the main road, near to the IDH junction. My husband is a civil Engineer who works at a private company and his work site is also nearby our house. My mother, father and my one and only sister are also living with us.

I schooled at Bishop’s College Colombo from Nursery to Ordinary Level & then moved to Devi Balika Vidyalaya to do my Advanced Level Studies. Thereafter I obtained a higher diploma at the National Youth Center of Sri Lanka & then moved my carrier into the medical field where I entered a private medical university in Sri Lanka. After studying for about 3 years of medicine, I figured out that the institute I entered was not well recognized around the world, so I had to take a decision of stepping out of it without delay.

Though it wasn’t an easy task at all, I finally managed to move on with my carrier with teaching which I loved to do so much. Since my father is a mathematician and seeing him doing classes for students from my very small days almost all the time, this led me to become a teacher one day. From small days I loved to teach and my ultimate passion was to be a good teacher. So, thereafter I started to work as a teacher during both daytime and evening time. Daytime I spend my time teaching to my school students and then in the evenings I do my tuition classes at my own institute. Directly after completing my Advanced Level’s I started doing small group tuition classes and taught both English Language and Science. I’m competent in both those subjects and in school I teach Science subjects for the students and then at my tuition classes I teach the English Language subject.

From small days, I loved to read books and magazines. Until now, I spend my free time engaging in reading books and articles based on scientific facts. I’m also interested in the medical and pharmacological fields as I’ve learnt them during my undergraduate days. Moreover, I also love to watch movies and TV series. During my school days, I was an active member of the School Debating team, both in Sinhala and English. I captained the inter-house debating competition in 2008, and came the runners-up. Also, I went to my Dhamma School every Sunday and there too I participated in many District Speech competitions regarding Oratory.

But nowadays since I spend most of the time with my little baby boy, I hardly have time to read books! I also do all the household work including cooking meals, watering the flowers, cleaning the garden etc. These days, as I spent most of the time with my baby boy, from waking up in the morning to late evening I have to run here and there doing baby’s work. Motherhood is really amazing and it’s completely not an easy task! Because of all these work, and as I personally do not encourage helpers to look after my baby, I myself together with the help and support from my mother and my sister, looks after our little prince throughout the daytime. Due to this Covid-19 pandemic situation, currently all the tuition classes have been physically closed so, I do online classes during the weekdays mostly at night. Washing baby’s clothes, ironing them, cooking meals for him, bathing him and playing with him all around compotes my day regularly. However, the support given from my husband too is also great. He’s the one who takes care of our baby once he comes home from work to the night time.

My husband @thimalteb and his friend @bestecofinder mainly encouraged me to engage in this steemit platform. Despite of his office work, my husband spends time on steemit and that also motivated me to move on with this! With regard to crypto, I basically have some kind of knowledge about it since I’ve helped my husband and looked with him when he’s working on with crypto. I’ve also helped him with gathering information for crypto articles.

So, as I have an interest in the medical sciences, I mainly love to read articles with regard to medicine, biochemistry, pharmacology and all other science fields.
