What is plagiarism??

Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else work or ideas as your own, without their consent, by incorporating it in to your works without full acknowledgement..
Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless or unintentional.. so in any way it occurs it doesn't negate or excuse it to be termed the subject matter..
Plagiarism does not in any way discourage the use of other academic material as a source of information thus academic essay always involve the use and discussion of material written by others but with due acknowledgement and proper referencing it can be clearly distinguishable.
Consequences of plagerism
1 plagiarism is considered a very high offence and can lead to deduction of marks especially in the higher institution thereby demoralizing and causing discouragement to the person who must have invested time and labour to produce the work..
2 plagiarism can lead to expulsion
3 plagiarism can make you face a very strict panel and there could be severe consequences for this..
Ways to avoid plagiarism
1)Plagiarism can not be totally abolished but can be curtailed to the lowest minimum.. This can be achieved when there is a strict body set to punish anybody who fails victim of this..
2 Students should be taught on the negative effects of plagiarism and students should learn to cite and reference their work to the original owners. With this in effect, there would be a great minimisation of plagiarism..
I believe that this procedures will control the rate of plagiarism.

The act of plagiarism is something steemit as a whole is trying to eradicate .... plagiarist that doesn't reference or cite people work are steeling by trick ...and am glad there are punishment for plagiarist..am glad you are on the bright side on this particular view...am with you bro..let's steem with our brains not other.....let Dem know
Yes brother.. Steemit promotes the use of brain not copy and paste..
