What is Plagiarism ?

Plagiarism is when a person uses someone's idea without his or her approval and also posting it as the author which you aren't thereby taking the glory of another person's work

When a writer acts like he is author of a content or write up or copies another persons article just to take all the glory to himself by claiming to have done the work without acknowledgement from the right source or citation to show it was copied. To prevent this, a direct quotation should cite the source so that people will know the original author.

iv. Show your source
Concerning an idea or writeup that’s not yours , add a reference in your jotting that says the name of the source, the date it was posted.

one of the simple and sure ways to avoid plagiarism is by using citation marks around the textbook used to show that the words are not yours, If you fit a source’s words into your article. A direct quotation should also cite the source so that compendiums know who the quotation is from.

vi. Rephrasing
Rephrasing is rewriting a source’s ideas into your phrase without changing its meaning. Avoid using numerous suggesting words or expressions from the source. Best thing is to do so without changing the meaning of the idea itself. Remember that you are using another person's idea so you’ll need to include a reference to the source.

vii. Write out your ideas
State what your personal reason for writing it down, you can contribute in your jotting cause that’s entirely your own. Bear in mind that if you ’re working on a source’s work adding your own point, you will still need to follow the rules and regulations above to avoid replication.

Plagiarism is not tolerated.

Apart from that, you need to show citation method and then conclude with the statement below

“I have read and understood the steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them”
