Hello everyone at Steemit
I hope you are doing well. I have completed my achievements 1 and 2 in the steemit community and now through this post Achievement 3 .
steemit community the amount of plagiarized content is increasing day by day. As we all know, the Steemit platform rewards users for their own creativity and content, so everyone on Steemit should not take the help of plagiarism and provide their own content to build a larger community.
What is Plagiarism
Plagiarism means using other people's work, content and ideas without giving them the credit they deserve. We can define plagiarism in a professional definition as the use of words, ideas or information from a source without citing it properly.
Plagiarism occurs in many different contexts. , professional settings, arts, academics, and also in the business world.
The use of plagiarized content is illegal and violates law and order. In simple words, we can say that using someone's work, ideas, content without giving them adequate credit or without their acknowledgment is a crime.
Therefore, we must create our own content to avoid plagiarism!
Types Of Plagiarism?
.....................................
Global plagiarism
That means plagiarizing all of the original owner's content. This includes purchasing essay content or submitting assignments completed by others without any permission from the original owner.
Mosaic plagiarism
In this type of plagiarism, we can see the theft of copying of phrases, paragraphs, ideas, etc. from various sources and compiled them into a completely new text.
Incremental plagiarism
This means including a small amount of plagiarized content that is largely undetected in most of the original content.
Self-plagiarism
That means posting/recycling your previous work/content that you have submitted or posted somewhere.
Basically, this means using your own content twice.
Accidental Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism occurs when a person is not aware that the publication they have published has already been published. This type of plagiarism mainly happens to students when they investigate from the same source.
Avoid Plagiarism
Giving proper cites to sources you also need to make sure you've properly integrated it into your text, either by paraphrasing or quoting.
Avoiding plagiarism when paraphrasing
When you are expressing an idea or information from a source, paraphrasing or summarizing it simply by changing a few words or using a synonym tool is not the correct way to paraphrase. In fact, you can accidentally change the meaning of the entire font. To show that you have fully understood the material, fully explain the author's key points in your own words and be sure to cite the source.
Avoiding plagiarism when quoting
This means that when you want to include exact sentences, phrases or parts of content or sources, it is advisable to use citations.
To do this, you must enclose the text copied directly from the source or content in quotation marks. And be sure to present each quote in your own words without changing the meaning, and avoid using separate quotes as complete sentences.
Citation Method
