ACHIEVEMENT 6: Curation and Community

Hello Steemians,

I hope you all are doing well. I have completed my Achievement 1-5 task which I gained knowledge and tried to explain everything in detail for new users. I have gained knowledge from renowned members, developers, greeters and witnesses. I want to thank @cryptokannon, @steemchiller, and @justyy for giving such detailed and best information on this platform.

I will try my best to write much about Achievement#6 task, I will explain everything which I have gained knowledge.

Objectives of this Achievement are:

• New users know about curation work in steem

• Newcomers know about what witness is and how to vote for witness

• Newcomers know how to create their own community or join the existing community that fits according to their interest

• New users know how to use third-party applications widely use by steemians such as discord.

How voting and curation work in steemit?

Voting in steemit means liking or giving appreciation to users who post in steemit. I hope we all want to make good use of our voting. Here in steemit, voting is like a reward when someone gives like, cotes on someone's post. By this wen distributor who gives the rewards get 50% back when he gives the reward. Its power depends on the possession of steem power. Simply it can be said if you have more steem you have more power.
There are many users who post awesome content on a daily basis and share daily routines, photography, or any other blogs posts. If he put/post real stuff he gets a reward and if he copies other's content he gets devote too. If the user posts the best content here and definitely he will get rewards and upvoted. If a user gets upvote hi reputation will increase and the same like if he will post other's content or steals someone's data then he will get downvote by others and his reputation will decrease. The main thing to follow is that use your own content instead of copying others. When other users upvote the post, it is called a curator. The main thing is steem power if you have much steem in your account and you vote for a post on your power and it will be very beneficial. It is very useful to give a vote on the post but you can't upvote every post because it will affect voting mana but it will recharge with 20% every day.
I am a new user so I can vote only at 100% voting strength, Once I reach 5000 steem power. I will see a vote slider and from 1%-100% I can change the strength of my voting. It will be adjustabe that what I want to give vote each day on the posts.

What happened if you vote for a post before 5 minutes mark after posting?

If you upvote a post after 5 minutes of posting, 100% of the curation reward will go to the curator and I am sharing the box under:

Steem Witness

The witness is schedule on steem after 3 seconds in Blockchain for DPOS. Steem's blog requires a number of people to make and maintain a blog. One can vote for up to 30 witnesses. There are also backup witnesses too.

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

There are many communities which are here in steemit. All are considering best and joining them can be beneficial. I have joined some communities since I register myself here, I am sharing with you:

I have joined 4 communities yet and will proceed to more because I am newbie and joined 1 month ago.

Newcomers' Community:

This is a first and foremost community. In this community, I have posted my first introduction post and after that every achievement I posted there. It has the introduction and achievement task for all newcomers to complete all the tasks, material, and resources provided. I have gained much knowledge from here.

STEEM CHALLENGE:

This is our CR community which he offered to join and post daily routine here and I share my daily routine and tells about me and my work what I did that day. Maybe this is a local area community where we all have joined on a city basis.

Steemit Nursery:

This is for newcomers but I have posted yet, I want to work here too because for new users it is good. and I will join this soon.

Steem Geography:

One of my friends suggest this community today and asked to post related to geography and I am thinking to post about that too.

• Make sure to read rules regarding joining the community so you can work according to rules otherwise you can be muted.
• If someone gets an idea about creating a community he can create or join other communities as well.

Discord application:

Some communities use an application named Discord to communicate with each other. It is faster because there is no messenger feature in steemit. Personally, I did not use Discord here yet.

I tried my best to explain every question's answer in a detailed and easy way. I hope it will help newcomers and after reading it will be appreciated.
