ACHIEVEMENT 4. TASK: APPLYING MARKDOWN
Looking back at achievement 3, everyone was taught to understand that markdown is used in steemit to cite a quote or a sentence made by a writer which we don't know. It is a technique used by the writer to show the audience where and how he/she applied someone else’s idea.
I have gone through and understood all the requirements for this task, and I promise to do it with utmost understanding and ability.
For example;
In the last task we quoted the Bible;
Genesis:1:1
And God created the heavens and the earth.
In this example we were taught how to apply markdown(>) when writing to cite and quote sentences written and published by other writers that we might not know.
They are lots of other important applications of markdown, it is not only used to cite text but can also be used to beautify ones work on steemit, it can be used to tabulate and make a post eye attractive, it can be used to arrange and highlight text to show priority.
Lets discuss some of the applications;
Heading
When writing on different topics and subjects it is only normal to have headings and subheadings showing the importance of the topic about to be discussed. On steemit we do this by applying "#" at beginning of the sentence or heading, The amount of '#' will determine the size of the heading.
For example;
##Ezego
###Ezego
JUSTIFY TEXT
This is an act of adding space between words or sentences arranging ones write up to give it a professional look.
Eg:
AlIGN TEXT INTO CELL
In explaining different concepts and ideas there can be a need to divide it into different cells , this concept can also be applied in the differentiation of different variables
Eg:
Differences between Retail and wholesale
TABLES(roles & columns)
This is used to tabulate concepts and can also be used when showing the difference between two variables.
Example;
WORDS AND THEIR OPPOSITES.
WORDS | OPPOSITE | GO | COME |
---|---|
BELIVE | DOUBT |
UP | DOWN |
DEAD | ALIVE |
SIT | STAND |
BEGINNING | END |
