INTRODUCTION

Hello friends, i am glad making my final achievement post to steemit and in newcomers community. I had just wanted to finish up this post so i can concentrate in my personal articles and meanwhile participate in the ongoing stuffs here on steemit.

Basically in this achievement task, we have been asked to write a review of our understanding on curation, votes, witnesses and communities. So walk down slowly with me as we ride.

VOTING

A user's vote can only start counting once his Steem Power gets to 500SP. By this time, each time the user casts a vote, he will see a vote slider appear. The slider is used to adjust the weight of the votes from 1% to 100%.

Meanwhile voting with less than 100% will have less influence on the posts and comments. Voting with less than 100% voting manner will also use up less voting manner.

Whenever a user casts a vote, he uses up 2% of his voting manner, though he would have to start up with 100% voting manner. As the user uses more of his voting manner, his votes will carry less influence. Meanwhile, the network recharges the voting manner by 20% each day.

That's the much i can say about voting for now, i don't have up to 500SP yet, i would have shown you guys a practical voting example.

CURATION

Basocally on steemit, it's either you are a curator or an author or both. The rewards that comes from posts and comments are divided into 2 when it pays out, 50% goes to the author as author reward, while the balance 50% goes to the curators as curation reward. Out of the 50% that goes to the curator, the curator will receive less than 100% of the curation reward, if he upvoted the post in the first 5 minutes of making the post.

The curation reward will be distributed as shown below.

1 Minutes	20%	80%
2 Minutes	40%	60%
3 Minutes	60%	40%
4 minutes	80%	20%
5 Minutes and above	100%	Nill

Meanwhile, steemit business is all about steem power. A user with more steem power usually has more influence on the curation rewards than the users with less steem power. Therefore, the more steem power one has, the more influnce he his votes will have.

CURATION TRAIL

A user that doesn't have all the time to do manual curation can join a curation trail of others who will vote same posts and comments on his behalf and he earns his curation reward. The people that helps others vote is called a curation trail.

STEEM WITNESSES

Witnesses on steem ecosystem are stets of people scheduled to produce new blocks on the steem blockchain. They are basically the network's block producers and governance body.

This is a list of witnesses on the steem blockchian, though the list goes on and on, this is to mention but a few.

My favourite witnesses are @justyy and @steemchiller. They are both active and very supportive on the steem blockchain. I have read a couple of their articles and visited some of their works, they are really helpful. So i love them for that.

COMMUNITIES

I have joined a couple of communities since i signed up on the steem blockchain. To locate all the communities on the steem ecosystem, you can check it out here.

HOW TO JOIN COMMUNITIES

• Go to Steemit.com/communities.
  It will display all the communities on the steem blockchain and their ranks, then subscribe to those with same interest as you have.
