For the sake of Life,
For the sake of freedom,
Men and women rose up to a call
A call to justice
A call to break free.

For our freedom was bound
By the very ones meant to save us
But we rose to our feet, screaming out in loud voices,
Enough of the oppression,
Enough of the killings.

But instead of freedom, we embraced magazines.
Brutal death indeed,
As lives screamed till death
It was a massacre.

We will never forget
I will never forget
Our brothers and sisters
Whose lives were taken.
