Achievement 2/ Basic security on steemit

Steemit is becoming the greatest platform for young writers in my locality. After my introduction post on the achievement 1 of this platform, It has come to my knowledge various security keys being used on steemit. And as a newbie in the platform, I am still open to learning new stuff in the platform. And here in the Achievement 2 is to explain the various basic security keys I have learnt through the knowledge of the @steemcurators.

Q1_HAVE YOU RETRIEVE ALL THE KEYS ON STEEMIT?
Retrieving of all the keys was one of the first things I did when I signed up on the platform. As I downloaded a pdf reader and stored the keys in it.

Q2_Do you know each of the functions of the keys?

POSTING KEY: The posting key is the key to log in into our steemit account. It can also be used to post,vote, comment and to follow other users on steemit.

MASTER KEY: The master key is the most important key when it comes to steemit because it supersedes other keys on the platform.

ACTIVE KEY: This key is used to power up and to power down on steemiy. It is the key we use to transfer funds and do other transactions on steemit. Voting and conversation of steem dollar can be done with the use of the active key.

MEMO KEY: Memo key's objective is encrypting and decrypting labels when transferring funds on steemit.

Q3_ HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?
This is a really good question because I learnt that the master password is really important in the platform. I was advised by my friend @chikadike100 to store my master password on my Gmail account. So am planning on creating a secret folder on my phone to save and store my master password.

Q4_DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?

Transferring of steem token to another steem user have been a little obstacle in my journey with steemit but I have come to it's knowledge by the help of various individuals in the platform.
After logging in into my account, I click on my wallet dashboard

Then I click on the triangle shaped icon to showcase the options

. I click on the transfer option

Then input the account name you want to transfer the token to. And the amount of token you want to transfer and the demo description

Then press next to confirm and send the stream token to another user.

Q5_ DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?

Yes,I learnt it just while going through those Achievement Posts of @cryptokannon. Powering up is the process of converting your steem to steem power. As learnt, steem power has a great influence in all activities on steemit. The higher your steem power, the higher your position and also your power to vote increases as your steem power increases.

I firstly visit my wallet dashboard,Then I click on the triangle shaped icon to view the options

And on the options, I click on the power up button

I then input the amount I want to power up and click on the power up button to finalize with the powering up.

In conclusion, it has been a joyous moment for me to master the basic security in this great platform. Starting from knowing the various keys and it's functions to knowing how to transfer my steem token to other steem users without any assistance. I am highly honored to be a member of this great platform.
