It is my pleasure to write my achievement3 on this platform and i'm so grateful to everyone who have been taking time to read my dairies and my previous achievement post thank you so much.

I really enjoy this platform and I've come to know that on steemit, i can post any quality post of my choice, and i can write on any topic but it should be my own work, steemit encourage brain work with proof.

CONTENT ETIQUETTE; Its refers to rules that guides a writer on how to apply courtesy while writing, then if the writer refuses to apply this rule while copying someone else work, it is called PLAGIARISM.

According to Cambridge dictionary, It is the process or practice of using another person's ideas or work and pretending that it is your own. It simply means stealing of ones idea or writeup presenting it as your own.

Forms in which one can involve in plagiarism

--copying a person work directly word-for-word
--using someone's else phrase, without quoting or citing the source.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

  1. Cite your source
When alluding to an idea or wording that’s not your own, add a citation in your writing that identifies the full name of the source, and any other citation element that’s required by the style guide you’re adhering to.

  2. Quotation; If you insert a source’s words into your writing, verbatim, one of the most simple yet obvious ways to avoid plagiarism is by using quotation marks around the text to denote that the words aren’t your own. A direct quote should also cite the source so that readers know who the quote is from.
Example; " Regular egg also reduce your heart disease risk in several ways. Eggs decrease inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, increase your HDL (good) cholesterol levels and modify the size and shape of your LDL (bad) cholesterol 20Trusted Source"

PARAPHRASE; Paraphrasing is rewriting a source’s ideas or information into your own words, without changing its meaning. But be careful—paraphrasing can slip into plagiarism if done incorrectly.
