APPLYING MARKDOWNS

The goal of this task achievement is to help fellow newcomers in the steem world have
● Basic Markdown skills
● An idea of how to use markdowns with examples.

As I begin I start by giving a brief definition of what markdowns are.
Markdowns are in my own words described as tools, used for the addition of elements to texts documents. Specific steps are followed for the application of markdowns which would be described as you read further. These markdowns vary in types and functions, they are:
● Headings.
To create a Heading, put a hashtag (#) symbol before the text that you want to be the heading. The number of hashtag symbols (#), determines the size of the Heading. That is, the greater the number of hashtags, the larger the Heading will be and vice versa.
Example:
using steemit as the headline

steemit 1

The above is a pictorial explanation of how to create a Heading. By putting a # before the intended heading, automatically turns it to a Heading. As said earlier, the size of the Heading is determined by the number of hashtags put before the intended Heading.

Thus:

Headline 1

Headline 2

Headline 3

Headline 4

Headline 5
Headline 6

Also, still on Heading, another way to apply Heading on your work is, by adding three dashes under what you want to be your Heading. Still using steemit as an example,

Thus:

Steemit

Moving to the next markdown;
●Quotes
These quotes are used to explain or show to the reader that the lines were gotten from another's work. It is done by putting the > "sentence"

Thus

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." -Martin Luther king

Another Markdown which is Important for Steemians to have a knowledge on is, TABLE.
●TABLE
Table creation just like the previous markdowns requires steps for usage. Through the example of the table below, you begin to create your table and inserting the characters of your choice.

Thus looking this way. More headers and cells would be added depending on the writer's

Worddifference
Nightday
Walkrun

●ALIGNMENT OF TESTS INTO TWO CELLS
Tests can be aligned into both right cells and left cells with a particular markdown. An example

Such that the output would take this form

This is how to align texts to the right
This is how to align texts to the left.

Another important markdown is the Linebreak
● Linebreaker
Linebreakers are used for the creation of that extra break line between texts. To differentiate between a thing or two . To create a line space, you use
markdown

All these amongst others constitute the basic markdowns a user can insert when working on a write up.
Thank you.
