Every community is appropriately defined and governed by a certain set of rules which are commonly agreed upon by individuals of that community. So this same logical deduction also applies to the Steemit community. Like any other community it is governed by a set of rules which are commonly agreed upon by everyone in it.

Amongst this rules is a fundamentally emphasised one which is rule number 4 stated as "Don't be a fake, plagiarise or pass off others' work as your own"

Plagiarism is the describe as the use of ones original content without appropriate credit or recognition given to the author of the content

Firstly I will clearly state that plagiarism is bad
and especially bad in a community where rewards or grades are given based on Brain strength or the creative and artistic maneuvers of authors. Sincerely I really believe their is no need to plagiarise if everyone can fully appreciate the extent of their creative prowess. You are unique and your ideas are amazing embrace them and dont be a fake.

Plagiarism display is lack of confidences of oneself and also it is quite dishonorable becuase it denies the original author of the content his duely deserved credit.

SOME COMMON TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

1.) Complete Plagiarism
It is servere case of completely taking another authors work and submitting as yours. It called also referred to as intellectual theft.

2.)Direct Plagiarism
It occurs when an author copies sections of an authors text word for word without altering any thing in it.

3.)Self or Auto Plagiarism
It occurs when an author reuses significant potions of his text without properly referencing or citing them.

4.)Paraphrasing Plagiarism
It occurs when an authors paraphrases statements which has immediately taken or copied from someones pushlished post or work.

SANCTIONS OF PLAGIARISM

1.) Destruction of personal reputation
When you engage into plagiarism you risk loosing your personal reputation and destroying your personal profile on steemit and not just steemit but in any professional and educative society. Oftenly in schools people who plagiarize are often viewed with the eyes of dishonor

2.) Suspended accounts
You risk loosing your account on steemit and or even facing severe sanctions too! So it is important one avoids plagiarism

HOW AVOIDING AVOID PLAGIARISM
One of the key ways in avoiding Plagiarisim is by the use of citations. Am sure you most have noticed that they are citation links through my post that becuase I honor and respect the creators of does very contents.

We most always endeavour to give references to any material that we use in our post that is not originally ours. Citation is simply creating references for various material within your post.
Citation is an honorable and respectful act. It also depicts an aspect of humility the content of the author.
