Hello fellow steemians! Am so excited to be doing my last achievement! It is was tedious having to undergo such commitment but it was worth the time. I want to specially thank @cryptokannon for been of great help in this journey of mine. So today I would be doing my last achievement 6 and I will be answering the following questions which are the main objectives of this achievement

1. Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Am going to answer this question in 2 main sections.

i). How does one earn curation rewards by voting?

Naturally on steemit they are mainly two ways of earning and that is through creating content (authors rewards specifically) and voting others post (curation rewards). When Users vote on good content they distributed a certain amount of reward equivalent to their Steem Power. This is as a result of the fact that steemit is based on a proof of stake system. When people upvote a post they dispense a certain amount of reward and the author of the post also gains a certain percentage of the reward. But that is not all, 50% of the rewards that was recieved by author of the post goes to the person who voted the post. So the the reward is split into two! 50% for the author of the post and 50% back to the curator of the post . Both the author and curator earn a 50% of the rewards. However the more Steem Power you have, the more rewards you can dispense on the account of your vote.

ii). How many times can I vote daily and when can I vote daily?

Wait a minute! Dont get to excited to vote! Just becuase you earn by voting doesnt mean you will vote all post on steemit lol! It comes with repacutions too. Every single person on steem possess something that is called "Steem Manna". It is actually a kind of bar that indicates your voting power or voting strength. It deplets bit by bit anytime you vote on someones post. It starts out at 100% voting mana. Anytime one votes his voting manna decreases be a certain percentage. The more you vote the less the strength of the Latter votes. so the strength of your votes decreases with the increase in the number of votes. Actually there is a specific time to vote on any post.

Well when your steem power is beyond 500 SP the voting manna bar automatically starts appearing to you to able to adjust your voting strength. Normally there is a direct proportionality between the amount of SP and effect of the vote. Therefore the SP the bigger the rewards despense a vote as well as the returns.

2. What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

About the time to vote, there is s series of time constraints one has to take into consideration before voting which are:
If a post is upvoted during the moment of posting, 100% of the curation reward will remain in the rewards pool.
At a minute, the curator receives about 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards pool.
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%, and 60% remains in the rewards pool.
At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%, and 40% remains in the rewards pool.
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%, and 20% remains in the rewards pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator..

So it is definitely important to keep track of the post time and vote in such a way that you can easily curate and curate with the highest gain too.

3. Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?

I totally understand that voting a witness requires that the person be worthy of my vote. Also I believe that due to nobility of been witnesses and their job presciption also one has to take utmost care in voting. So the witness must be worthy of our trust. I also understand that I can vote for as many as 30witnesses.

Personally one witness presently has got my attention so much! And that is @steemchiller.

Firstly as an ameteur software developer I was inspired when I saw his amazing 'invention' by that I mean steemworld.org. I think the platform alone demostrates his creative prowess as well as his technical capability to manage a responsibility such as been an effective witness.

Secondly I went through his witness thread and it was pretty inspiring! From that his witness thread I saw not just brilliance but also Will Power to standard up for certain Ideals he believes in. Such a gesture demonstrates that he has the necessary leadership skills and will power to ne entrusted with such a task.

Thirdly he is obtaining to maintain all steem values and make steem worth a while. And from his profile also it shows that he has respect for peoples personal properties by that I mean their accounts and profiles. So he is willing to secure and preserve community values for the steemit blockchain.

Believe me or not!! Another think that caught my attention was just his profile Picture and the swaggy and stylish carving of his username. It made feel that he was not just a nerd kind of guy but that he probably was a funky kind of person too. By that I mean he might be a nice, calm and reasonable person not just a nerdy, cold hearted person. Well this may not be the case. But atleast it caught my attention.

4. Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

Am actually part of alot of communities already. I only Join communities that I find that I can create content in Line with their objectives and goals. I also joined communities that I can also learn from.
