So finally, I am going to complete the last achievement ( Achievement 6 ) in this post. I am grateful to everyone for all the support and guidance I have received so far.

So here is my understanding about curation and Community.

Q1. Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Yes I understand how voting and curation works in steemit. Let's start with voting.

There is a fixed reward pool in SteemIt. There are two types of votes on SteemIt . First One is upvote and the second one is downvote . ( Similar as like or dislike button on YouTube or many social media platforms )

When you like a good content on SteemIt and vote it, it is called upvote. So you also start distributing the rewards who post quality content, also called as authors , from the reward pool . And those who vote are called curators. You can be both author or curator.

You can also downvote the post or your post can get downvote. This happens mostly when the post is abusive, or the post has not been published according to the rules. If you scam with steem blockchain or use plagiarized Content, You can get downvote on your post.

If you like a good content and upvote , If you have more steem power then you can distribute more reward from the reward pool. Whenever you vote, you use the small amount of your voting mana. It is initially set to 100%. When you vote 100%, you will use 2% of your voting mana. You can vote more than 10 per day, but the value of your vote will decrease with every vote. It gets 20% recharged everyday by the network.

The process of reward distribution is called curation . The payout for each post matures in 7 days. After the post payout, the reward is distributed to the author and curator in the ratio of 50% / 50% known as author reward & curation reward. You can earn curation reward by upvoting posts.

A new user needs at least 500 Steem Power to cast their vote between 1% and 100% voting strength. If your Steem power is less than 500, then you can only Upvote or Downvote with 100% voting strength.

Q2. What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

At the time of publishing a post , 100% reward of curation remains in the reward pool at that time. As I mentioned above , The payout for each post matures in 7 days. During these seven days, the post receives an upvote or downvote ( if any ). After the post payout, the reward is distributed to the author and curator in the ratio of 50% / 50%.

So if you upvote a post before 5 minutes of publishing , then certain percentage of the curation reward goes back in the reward pool. With this, you lose some percent of curation reward. Below is the table of % of curation rewards and % of rewards return to reward pool of 5 Min.

If you upvote the post after 5 minutes of publishing , then 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.

Q3. Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?

I would like to vote for @steemchiller for Steemworld.org , and @justyy for Steemyy.com. According to me, these tools are very beneficial for the users of Steemit. With this, you can easily get all the information of your account. I have already reviewed these tools in Achievement 5.

Apart from this, I would also like to vote @futureshock who has made Steemscan.com. It is also a very useful tool. Of these three tools, I have used Steemworld.org the most.

Q4. Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

There are many active communities on Steemit that you can join according to your interest and understanding. There are many such communities that I have joined with my interest.

I have joined Steemit Crypto Academy for the homework task , World of Xpilar to share photos . As I am a big fan of cricket, that's why I have joined the World of Cricket community so that I can share about the cricket . To publish the post and to connect with the Indian Steemian, I have joined the Best of India & Steeming India Community .
