ACHIEVEMENT 2 @destinedhanik, TASKS: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT
Hello beautiful members of Steem community, I am happy to be here once again. I am @destinedhanik. I have had a great time in steemit community and my heart was joyful when I got verified for achievement 1. I won't forget @goodybest who welcomed me. I took time to study the security system of steemit and keys and I am ready for achievement 2. Now, let's look at what I have learnt about the keys on steemit.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?
DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTION AND RESTRICTIONS
Posting key: This key is used when I want to publish a post, comment, edit a post or comment, upvote or downvote, resteem content, follow people, or in few cases, mute account. I think this key is used more frequently than the others.
Active key: It is used for monetary and wallet actions like transfer token, power Steem up or down, SBD, that is Steem backed dollars conversion, voting for witnesses etc. Without the active key, I can't do these things.
Owner's key: The owner's key is used to reset other keys like active and posting key, it is also used to recover an account when an account is compromised, it is used to decline voting rights.
Memo key: The memo key is used to send an encrypted message and to view an encrypted message.
Public key: The public key is a key associated with username and used to encrypt and verify messages. The public key is not required for login.
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP MASTER PASSWORD?
• First of all, I have saved my master password in different places like my email and my drive. In this way, even if my phone is flashed, I can still get it when I log into my email or my drive.
• I have also printed it out and kept it somewhere safe. In that way, I lose nothing. I am still thinking of other ways to keep it safe and if I get to know it, I will apply it because the password is very important to me.
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER'S ACCOUNT?
• After logging into my account using my username and private posting key, I will click on my wallet, it is currently on the right hand side down at the Steem page.
• Another page will pop up showing buy Steem, Steem power, Steem dollars etc.
• Then I will click under Steem, where I have the number of Steem, there is a little point like arrow there, and then the options will come up ranging from transfer, transfer to savings, power up etc.
• I will then click on transfer
• After clicking on transfer, it will take me to another page where I will fill in the username of whosoever I want to transfer to and the amount.
• Then I will click on next and then I confirm the transfer and it is done.
After confirmation, the transfer is complete.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?
• After logging into my account which is very necessary, as I can't do anything without logging in, I go and click on the wallet at the down part on the right side of steemit and it takes me to the wallet page.
• When the wallet page comes up, I click on the small bar that looks like arrow beside the number of my Steem, and a bar drops down with options and I click on power up.
• After clicking on power up, I include the amount and then click on power up at the left bottom.
• Thereafter, another page pops up, I click on ok
• After clicking ok, I get to where I have to fill in my active or owner key or master password, I fill it in, and then click on sign in and it is done.
I wouldn't have been able to master all these without the help of @etette who had always created time to answer ally numerous questions. I have come to really enjoy steemit and I'm ready for more experiences.
Hi @destinedhanik we've seen that you're progressing, continue to be active for at least a month, interact with others, and write on topics of your interests, join all communities you like and We would like you to write your first progress report:
Please, don't use these points as a template - templates are so boring 🥱 - we're interested in hearing about your experience so far. You could use some of the following ideas as prompts...
A summary of the communities you've joined, why you've joined them, which you like the most, and why.
The topics you've been writing about.
A list of key people you've interacted with. An introduction to the people who have had the biggest impact on your experience so far (NOT an opportunity to tag whales) and the unexpected relationships that you've experienced.
Your most successful post - Why do you think it was successful?
Other observations - What have you learned and discovered that you weren't expecting to?
Your plan and expectations for the next month on the platform (please don't mention growing your account!)
Success
Thank you @goodybest. I'll do that and I'll continue writing, thank you.
Impressive; the main thing is to try as much as possible to keep your keys safely and protect them as much as you can. I can see that you're done with verification 1, but please do well to follow the guidelines specifically made for newcomers.
If you need help or have questions, we have a support department, where all your questions will be answered.
