I hope you're doing fine and enjoying your selves. I completed my achievement 2 task some days ago and now I'm working on my achievement 3 task which is about plagiarism. (Content Etiquette)

MEANING OF PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism is an act of taking another persons idea as your own without the knowledge of the author or owner. It can be done intentional or unintentional.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

  1. Self-Plagiarism
  2. Accidental Plagiarism
  3. Mosaic Plagiarism
  4. Direct Plagiarism
  1. SELF-PLAGIARISM: This is an act of reusing an authors specific words from the prior published texts. It can also be called duplicate publication.

  2. ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM: This is when a person refused to cite their source of image or content. It is also when they utilize comparable words, group of words and sentence arrangement without any acknowledgement.

  3. MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: This is when a user copies a phrase from a source without using quotation marks, or discover synonyms for the writers words and keep to the same arrangement and meaning of the innovative content.

  4. DIRECT PLAGIARISM: This is word-for-word copy of a segment of someone else idea without acknowledgment or quotation marks.

EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism can lead to knowledge limitation.

Plagiarism can spoil a student reputation in school or organization.

It can also destroy a content or work.

You can also follow the four steps for plagiarism free in your work.

"Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas).
Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
Use a plagiarism checker before you submit."

CITATION: These are ways you tell your readers that a certain materials or picture in your work came from another source.

TYPES OF CITATION:

  1. Modern Language Association (MLA)
  2. American Psychological Association(APA)
  3. Chicago/Turabian style

WHY WE SHOULD DO CITATION:

  1. It shows to your reader that you have done a proper research on your work before writing it.

  2. It make your work look very unique and interesting.

  3. It helps a reader to recognize where you found your informations.

  4. It makes your content look more reliable and professional.

CONCLUSION:
Citing of source is very compulsory. Its shows to your reader that you have done a proper research before you start your work. To complete research, you have to cite your source.
