HOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORD “PLAGIARISM”?
Plagiarism is an act of taking another person’s work or idea as your own without the consent or knowledge of the owner. It can be done intentional or unintentional.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
DIRECT PLAGIARISM: This is word-for-word copy of a section of someone else’s work or idea without acknowledgment or quotation marks.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM: This is when a person refused to mention their source of image or content. It is also when they use similar words, group of words and sentence structure without any acknowledgement.

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: Occurs when a person borrows or copy a phrase from a source without using quotation marks, or discover synonyms for the writer’s words and keep to the same structure and definition of the original content.

SELF-PLAGIARISM: This is described as reusing a writer’s specific words from the previous published texts. It can also be called “duplicate publication”.

EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM:

"Plagiarism can get you expelled from your course, college and/or university.
Plagiarism can result in your work being destroyed.
Plagiarism can result in legal action, fines and penalties etc".

Follow the four steps for plagiarism free in your content or pictures.
"Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas).
Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
Use a plagiarism checker before you submit".

CITATION: These are way you tell your readers that a certain materials or picture in your work came from another source.

TYPES OF CITATION:

  1. Modern Language Association (MLA)
  2. American Psychological Association(APA)
  3. Chicago/Turabian style

WHY WE SHOULD DO CITATION:
It show to your reader that you've done a proper research.
It make your work look very unique.
It helps a reader to know where you found your informations.
It makes your content look more reliable and professional.

CONCLUSIONS:
Citing of source is very necessary as far as plagiarism is concern. It's shows to your reader that you have done a regular research. To make research accomplished, you have to cite your source.
I also thank my mentor @icon-monday for his support.
