Achievement 2 : Basic Security on Steem by @david025
Hello everyone, this is my second achievement, and I'm hoping to show off what I've learned about the platform's keys as well as how to use the wallet.
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
YES. I've figured out how to get all of the passwords. I created a physical copy of it and kept it in a secure location. I saved it to Google Disk as well.
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
YES. I am completely aware of the main functions and restrictions.
• Posting Key: You'll need this to write comments, make posts, vote, and follow accounts. Because it is the most frequently used key, it is also the most vulnerable.
• Active Key:It allows a user's to access his/her wallet, convert Steem Dollars or steem
• Owner key: This is the most powerful password on the platform since it allows you to update or modify any other password.
• Memo Key: This key is used to encrypt and decode notes during money transfers.
• Master Password: This is the most crucial password to remember. All other keys are reset using this key.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
I saved it as a PDF and saved it somewhere secure.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, I'm quite capable of doing so.
• First, go to your wallet and select the icon that corresponds to the number of steems in your wallet.
• After that, choose transfer.
• Complete all required fields, including the user's name, steem quantity, and public memo.
• To complete the transfer, click OK, and steems will be sent to the steem user.
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
The Power Up helps us enhance our Steemit accounts in some way by allowing us to increase our Steem Power and so give our votes on the platform's posts more weight.
• Start with your wallet. Then, while you're in your wallet, press the arrow next to your steem balance.
• Then, by pressing the power up button, we enter the amount.
• Finally, turn on the computer and press the active key.
