Achievement 5 - Task 2: Understanding the Steem Tools: Review Steemscan.com

One of the significant things smeemit has done is the creation of an amazing and easy to use tool called Steemscan, for essy and convivnient withdrawal of steem earnings. What is steemscan? Steemscan is a steem exchange tool built on the steem blockchain by @futureshock and @roadrich. It's used in converting Steem into other crypto cuurencies such as , USDT BTC, TRX.

The great thing about the Steemscan tool is that, with it you don't need to create an account with an exchange to do it. KYC is not required to carry out the transaction and it's so simple that even a newbie can use it expressly.

How do you use this tool?

Current Steem Price and Volumes

According to Coingecko 0.651 $ is exchange for 3 Steem, and this amount of USD would buy 40.61 TRX.

Latest Transactions

This feature displays your recent transactions; latest transactions and blocks. Under latested transactions, it shows you a list of block ID, ID, Timestamp, sender, receiver/permlink/Id, type, amount/%/payload. While under the latest blocks, it shows a list of block ID, Height Timestamp, BLock transactions and mine.

Witness

This is a feature that displays a long list of the different witnesses with their information. To vote a witness, on its interface, head over to witness feature, and there you will find a long list of the various witnesses with their information. You can then cast your vote on any you prefer.

Dapps

These are decentralised apps. They're open-source software that leverage on the blockchain technology. Though i'm currently using Steemyy but in the future i intend to use Dapps like HashKings, TravelFeed, Appics and DLikes.

How to use "Quick Convert"

The Quick Convert also known as the exchange, is the fastest way to get your money out to trade, to place order, and to convert.

How to use Quick convert, follow these steps

• Choose a currency between USDT, BTC, TRX, and specify how much steem you want to exchange into what currency.
• Put your withdraw address; that is, the address of the currency that you want to get.
• Create order by clicking the button at the bottom.
• Click proceed payment.
• Confirm the transaction.

Charges using Quick Convert include, 1% conversion fee and a fix fee for the desire currency ( fix fees are normally taken by Steem blochain partners exchange, however fees are applied on most of existing exchanges at the same rate). These fees can be broken down as follows:

• for USDT the fix fee is 1.0000
• for BTC the fix fee is 0.0005
• for TRX the fix fee is 0.0100

Search feature

The Search feature is use basically to find previous transactions, account and witnesses on Steem blockchain. How to seaarch on Steemscan: Select sear type, ID, type of additional parametre, amount from amount to, type, date from date to, and then hit search button.
