What is Plagiarism?

From my point of view, or if I had to explain it in my own words, plagiarism is basically ripping off someone else's work and claiming it is yours, or not citing or stating the original source. This is especially bad for creatives (writers, artists etc) and personally, I think it's bad for photographers and other visual artists, because they work hard to create original work and someone can come along and just copy and paste their work. Of course this is lazy, it seems modern society and/or social media platforms seem to encourage this type of behaviour.

"Proof of Brain" concept

Steem provides a scalable blockchain protocol for publicly accessible and immutable content, along with a fast and fee-less digital token (called STEEM) which enables people to earn the currency by using their brain (what can be called “Proof-of-Brain”)

Plagiarism is basically fraud, if you don't cite your sources. Original content is actively encourage on steemit. If you need to quote a source, instead of saying that the information you have acquired is from a certain website, you can link the source (text or image) and you can do the following:

"Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work." Source

If you want to use an image that is not yours, then Pixabay is a good place. Some images on this website are free for commercial use and may not need any required attribution.

Thank you for @cryptokannon and @rishabh99946 for guiding and helping me become a newcomer in the @steemitcommunity.
