Achievement 2 Basic security on Steemit

It is a fact that on steemit,knowledge of the basic security protocols is important.You are liable for any access to your account which calls for extreme caution on your part. Steemit keys if properly handled will ensure the security and safety of my account.

When you sign in,you are directed to a page where you will download a file containing all the keys, It is imperative that one should only login with the appropriate key with the appropriate permission. Below explians the steemit key system.

Steemit key system

• Private posting key-is used for everyday login on steemit blockchain and to perform social acts like posting, commenting and voting

• Active Key-Is used for performing monetary and wallet related transactions.

• Master/owner key-This key is used to generate all other keys and used during account recovery.

• Memo key-It is used for encryption and decryption of memos

I have backed up my Master password physically on paper and have printed it out and stored safely in a secure location
