Hello great steemians,
This achievement is all about plagiarism. I have been making plans on how to write it and finally today I made it possible. On this post I will be making known what plagiarism is and it's effect on ones work.
PLAGIARISM
Cambridge dictionary defined plagiarism as the process or practice of using another person's ideas or work and pretending that it is your own ideas or work.
Based on this definition I will say that whoever that uses another person's original ideas, work, formula or anything should cite, or acknowledge the author and failure to cite, recognize or acknowledge the author's work or to source the material will be termed PLAGIARISM which will result to punishment.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
There are four different types of Plagiarism which includes:
- Direct Plagiarism or word for word Plagiarism
- Self Plagiarism
- Mosaic Plagiarism
- Accidental Plagiarism.
IMPLICATIONS OF PLAGIARISM
It's better not to plagiarised because it's implications is something else. And there are some ways to detect plagiarism, software detection which most common. Meanwhile implication of plagiarism can ruin one's reputation whether professional issue, legal or even personal.
The implications of Plagiarism are as follows:

It destroys student reputation.
Plagiarism can cause a lot of damage on student reputation like suspension or expelling of student. The implications of plagiarism is different from schools and universities. Schools and universities takes plagiarism very serious and also schools and universities creates committees that will oversee Plagiarism based on the policy of the school or university.
Legal repercussions
Plagiarism on this level is serious. This is the act of copying or taking someone material work without citation and reference. This kind of Plagiarism can be tagged as as a criminal offense leading to sentence imprisonment.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
These following steps are helpful to avoid being plagiarised: according to Raimo Streefkerk.
Citation or Credit
This is the act of acknowledging the author by citation or crediting the author's materials or work you collected.
Quote or Paraphrase
This means when writing on another person's idea or work (source) you are expected to paraphrase or quote the source.
Ensure you keep track of the sources you consult in your research work.
And finally use a plagiarism checker before you submit your work.
Conclusion
It is not advisable to plagiarize because of it's effect on one's reputation whether student or professional business person or whoever that is involved. Say No To PLAGIARISM and encourage others to avoid it as well.
