Hello steemias. Today task will be on basic security on steemit.After a thorough study on the guidelines provided by @cryptokannon from the newcomers community, i have come to the understanding of the importance of the keys all received on opening my accounts.
I have fully understood the importance of the five keys

MASTER KEY: Used to obtain all keys to your account including the owner key. The master key is the password you get when signing up and that aid in generating other keys. It is also recommended you store it offline in case of system breakdown. It's importance shouldn't be over emphasize since it controls the reset of all other keys.

POSTING KEY: Allows you to post, comments upvote/downvote and resteem within the steemit community. it also allows you to mute or follow/unfollow other accounts users. All social media related activities can be done in the steemit community using this key.

ACTIVE KEY: Is a very sensitive key because it is meant for funds transfer between users account. power up/power down transaction can also be done with the use of the active keys. Also can execute Conversion of steem dollars to Steem, voting for witnesses and in placing market order.

MEMO KEY: Is Used in writing memos when transferring funds and also to rewrite funds when transferring funds. Specifically in decryption and encryption of messages.

OWNER KEY: Most powerful key because of its power to change any key to any account including the owner key. Also can be use to regain a compromised account.

QUESTION 1: Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

YES, it was retrieved when my accounts was opened immediately. Thanks to @xkool24 for his guidance all through the process.

QUESTION2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

YES, just as seen in my explanation above. Thanks to @cryptokannon for the detailed information in your posts.

QUESTION 3: How you plan to keep your master password?

I have already printed it out and save in my hard drive document. Also have a back up file in the cloud.

QUESTION 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to other steem user account?

YES, the active key is been used for transferring funds.

• firstly, login to your wallet using the active key
• goto the Steem icon option
• click on it to see a drop-down box of options
• click on Transfer icon
• input the recipient user account
• input the amount of steem to be sent
• then confirm this process.

QUESTION 5:Do you know how to power up your steem.

YES, this process was also practicalised with the help of @xkool24.

• firstly, login to your wallet using the active key
• goto the Steem icon option
• click on it to see a drop-down box of options
• click on Power-Up icon
• input the amount of steem to be sent
• then confirm this process.
