What is Plagiarism??
Plagiarism in a simple definition is copying, duplicating, and replicating someone's else media contents which may be write ups, stories, articles, research etc and been compensated without the consent of the original owner or author.

It has to do with claiming someone's content as yours without referencing or acknowledging the original owner or author.
An example is when a researcher goes online and copy contents then paste it in his work without making proper referencing or acknowledgement.

Why plagiarism is unprofessional?
Plagiarism is unprofessional sequel to the fact that
Plagiarism claims and utilized the exact words, ideas and works, structure as if it were yours without any reference or acknowledgement.

Why should you avoid plagiarism ?
Plagiarism is a crime and perpetrators could be punished for it.
It has several demerits such as works being rejected and underated.
It reduces a writer's reputation and quality.

How To Prevent Plagiarism?
Procrastinating:
Procrastination is the act delaying actions, activities,works indefinitely and continuously.
Procrastination can lead to continuous postponement until the person becomes too apathetic then the next option is just to copy or replicate another similar work.

Avoid been lazy:
Lazy persons are known for solving problems in the shortest time. They tend to look for means to solve problems in the fastest and easiest way, which will lead to just copying and pasting a content.

If laziness can be avoided, then it will reduce the rate of plagiarism.

boldness :
If one won't look down on their content, it'd give them the confidence of working with it without sourcing for someone else's contents.

Referencing
It is pertinent a writer makes reference to the original owner or source if few or all the contents are gotten from it. The source should contain, name and date.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

explicit Plagiarism
This has to do with duplicating the entire work another author with making any changes to the word and without the use of quotation marks.

Unintentional Plagiarism
This is an error made by a person to showcase their source from where they got their content. It is an oversight from the writer who unknowingly forgot to indicate the source.
