Achievement 4: Applying markdowns

Hi steemians, as part of my responsibility to know the work of the steem ecosystem, I’ve dedicated some time to learn the applications of the various markdowns to be used in the steem editor as my achievement 4.
The various markdowns are very essential in creating blog posts, as it makes it possible to add some useful features such as images, links, videos, quote and many others in one’s post. Below are some of the mark downs.

Making Headings
Headings form an important role in making a good blog post or a presentation, it helps those viewers to get to know the important aspect and the main issues an author of the post is writing about.
To add a heading, bring a hashtag/s(£) and a space before the text, the number of hashtags determine the rank of the heading, the size of the heading decrease as the number of hashtags(#) increases, below is a demonstration:

How to center a text
At the beginning of the word you want to appear at the center, click the less than symbol <, and follows by entering the word center, then use greater than symbol > to close the word center.
Do same at the end of the text to appear in the center. But here, put front slash / between the < and the c

Adding a Subscript
Same procedure as centering a text, but sub will be put instead of center.

To add superscript,
Instead of sub, you will use sup


Adding Quotes
Blockquotes are usually added in order to indicate that the statement or syntax being used is quoted from a different source or from someone. This helps to write plagiarism free contents.
To add a quote, the > is used just before the statement

Bolding a text
To make a text bold, start the text a bring two asterisks(**) both the beginning and the end of the text.

Making text italic
To make a text italic, bring one asterisk(*) instead of two at the beginning and the end of the text to be italise.

To add a table, follow this syntax...

Adding a Link
Bringing @ before a user’s name creates a link for the profile of the user that when clicked, will send you to the profile of that particular user. Or better still you can use the syntax below
Text so that when the text is clicked on, it will lead to the link.

Image Alignment
Images can be aligned left, right or center with this syntax below
For the image to appear at the center

To align right, put right in place of center, and left when to align left.
