I'm here with my third successful mission. Today's topic is all about being creative. There are a few guidelines that I and other steemit users need to master in order to create our own material, use it more effectively, and be unique. Even if the information does not belong to us, we should always share it by showing the source.

Content Etiquette;

• Content Etiquette to me with the lessons I have learnt in this short while on steemit is the rules and regulations to be considered while constructing a write-up with the right approach and in a polite manner. It is referred to the polite submission of post on steemit platform.

Plagiarism;

• It is an act of stealing someone's idea, work or content without a permission from the author or sole originator.

Types of Plagiarism
Direct plagiarism: This is referred to as copying someone else's work verbatim (word for word) without reference and permission from the source.

Mosaic Plagiarism: It is noted by indeliberately quoting someone's work though he might have mentioned the source but if he/she fails to make use of the quotation marks by putting the quoted parts in the the quotation marks correctly, he/she has committed a crime of mosaic plagiarism.It is important to refer to certain source materials to enrich your writing. If the writer uses the internet as a source, he must know what not to do, so as to avoid plagiarism. Most importantly, mention the source of the work you've referred to.

Self Plagiarism: It is the commonest type of plagiarism it occurs most especially among high school students whereby they copy and paste part of their previously submitted academic paper. So if the student submits the same paper/work for two different class projects without seeking the consent of the concerned teacher, then that is noted as self-plagiarism.

Accidental Plagiarism: Most times, this occurs to anyone as it's name implies almost every day especially to those who make write ups and it is noted by chipping in phrases or texts that is from another source without citing the source or citing a wrong source, then he/she is a plagiarist.

So the question is, How do we avoid or eradicate plagiarism?

• Avoiding plagiarism has an important place in Steemit's rules. We must follow the guidelines and avoid posting plagiarism. We should share our own high-quality content. For posts that are not our own, we must always cite the source. We must give due respect to people's work.

I have read and understood the steemit etiquette on steemit community and will do my best to embrace them.

BE CREATIVE!

Thank you.
