Source

Steemscan is an exchange tool built to assist with the conversion of STEEM tokens to oother tokens like USDT, BTC, and TRX. The steemscan was created by @futureshock and @roadofrich to aid in exchange activities, with lower transaction fees compared to other exchange sites.

Evaluating steemscan Homepage

• Search for steemscan.com on your browser.

  You will arrive on this page👉🏻. The value for steem token as of now is $0.46, with a market supply of 396,638,371 STEEM and 10,141,026 SBD

  On the picture below, you see a blue dollar icon just after a search icon. Also, you see the blue dollar icon coming just before a half moon icon.
  The dollar icon can be used to see the different exchanges from STEEM tokens to other tokens. The search icon is used for a wide or narrow search. The half moon icon is used to change the mode from light to dark and vice versa.

Latest Transactions and Latest Blocks

• Latest Transactions carries details on the most recent social activities carried out on the steemit blockchain as shown above earlier.

Witnesses

  To check out witnesses and vote, you need to click on the menu bar, and select witnesses as shown in the screenshot.

  You will be taken to the page shown below, which contains all active witnesses in order of ranking.
  

• To vote, you just scroll through the witnesses and chose the witness you wish to vote for. To validate this process, you will need to login and provide the necessary key.

DApp

A DApp (Decentralized Application) is an Application that solely functions on a decentralized system or blockchain. They need no middleman or third party to function.
For DApps so far, i am familiar with steemit, Dtube and steemscan

Quick Convert

• To use this section on the steemscan site, click on the menu bar and select Quick Convert.
• Fill in the number of steem tokens you wish to convert into another token of your choosing.
• Filing the wallet address and select the create order button.
• Validation is required with the provision of the requested key.
• Withdrawal fees are automatically submitted by the steemscan site.
  Withdrawal fee is a combination of the fixed fees for the coin you want to withdraw plus the conversion fee.
  The fixed fees are 1.0000, 0.0005 and 0.0100 for USDT, BTC and TRX respectively. However, withdrawal fees are automatically calculated by Steemscan.com
  

Search Feature

It is used wide and narrow searches of transaction details. From the above screenshot, you can see that the search can be set to the convenience of the person doing the search. Time and date ranges could be set, amount range too, etc.
