Achievement 3 by azar0334 Task: Context Etiquette

in Newcomers' Community3 years ago

Pleasant Greetings! It's my third time around for the Achievement 3 task and I hope you all are safe wherever you are. let's start our Success 3 here. Of this work, " Content available".

Content Etiquette

The word "etiquette" is a proper way of doing things based on the customs or proper behavior in the society or platform. Upon joining a community we must know first the rules and step by step been introduced on pieces of information on how the community works and to be able to last long abiding rules is the key.

Here in Steemit, we are given information on the Proof of brain concept where Content etiquette is applied by creating original content. When we say original, the ideas or words came from the brain and not with copying other author's ideas or works where the consequence of being plagiarized will arise.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics.source

Consequences of plagiarism:
Destroyed Student Reputation. Plagiarism allegations can cause a student to be suspended or expelled.
Destroyed Professional Reputation.
Destroyed Academic Reputation.
Legal Repercussions.
Monetary Repercussions.
Plagiarized Research.
Related Articles.

From what I have understood in order to not be plagiarized or labeled as fraud here in Steemit or in any platforms or blog sites, we must create our own original content using the brain in producing a quality post or give credit if ever someone else's work were used by giving proper citation or source. It is highly recommended to cite or source the link of the idea/work taken to not own their work but refer them as your source since that is where the origin of the idea/work came from.

To share and produce original content it is part of a newcomer to have knowledge about the existing Steemit Community Etiquette where I now have guidelines about the don'ts in Steemit Community in which the above topic is one of the guidelines below.

Don't just copy. In your writing, describe other people's ideas or results (using references) and their importance to your argument, rather than simply copying what you've read.
Use a range of sources.
Develop your own style.
Keep good quality notes.
Use quotation marks.

We need to abide by the rules and customs especially in the rules of the proper citation and rules set by the Steemit community. So reading and knowing the rules first of the community is the best way to avoid unnecessary things to happen.

I would like to end it here by extending my thank you to the Steemit team and @cherub27 for the guide.
