Achievement 6 By @atim1234 Task: Understanding Curation and Community
hello steemians,
Of course today I am very happy, because I have passed the 5 achievements given in this community.
this time, I will post my #achievement6, which is my last achievement before getting the Pro Newcomer label.
So, this time I will make a post entitled "Understanding About Curation and Community for New Comers"
Let's start.
How does Steemit's voting and curation work?
On Steemit, an upvote entails curation. All content that receives an upvote has been selected by another Steemian.
So Upvote is a curation procedure carried out by Steemian for content on Steemit that he like. You must have provided "likes" to your friends' posts that you like on Facebook, which is similar to what is termed an upvote on Steemit, and the "dislike" button, which is termed "downvote" on Steemit.
If you appreciate the stuff you see or read on Steemit, you may Upvote it by clicking the "" button at the bottom of a piece of content on Steemit.
Your upvote on the post will have a value of "Steem Power" and will indicate how much voting power you have.
An upvoter is someone who curates. So, if you curate information on Steemit, you are referred to as a Curator.
In the Figure below, you can see an example of the Upvote button and the amount of the prizes.
As previously stated, the level of Steem Power influences the upvote value that a Steemian would receive as a kind of Rewards for the content they generate on Steemit.
On Steemit, Voting Power is a power upvote for you. The more you Upvote, the lower your voting power % will be. Check out https://steemdb.io/@youraccount to see how much voting power you have.
Every time we vote or curate, our voting power decreases, and every day it is refilled by up to 20%. If we give a post a 100 percent curation value, our voting power will reduce by 2% if the voting power position itself is 100 percent.
For the time being, if our voting power is 100 percent and our steem power is 100 percent, voting for a post with a curation value of 100 percent will result in a value of 0.001.
What happens if you vote on a post before the 5 minute mark?
The author or owner of the post will get 50% of the curation awards, while the curator will receive 50% of the curation awards. Curators will benefit the most from the 50 percent time allotment, as mentioned in the steemit FAQ file:
- If the curator upvotes the post when it is initially uploaded and it is still under 1 minute, the curator does not receive the reward, and the prize is distributed according to the reward pool.
- If it is upvoted within 1 minute of being posted, the curator will receive 20%, and the remaining 80% will be distributed according to the reward pool.
- If it is upvoted within 2 minutes of being posted, the curator will receive 40% of the vote, and the remaining 60% will be distributed according to the prize pool.
- If it is upvoted within 3 minutes of being posted, the curator will receive 60% and the remaining 40% will be distributed according to the reward pool.
- If it is upvoted within 4 minutes of being posted, the curator will receive 80% of the credit, with the remaining 20% distributed according to the reward pool.
- If it is upvoted within 5 minutes of being posted, the curator receives 100% of the 50% curation share.
Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?
A witness is someone who plays a key part in the operation of the STEEM network. They run witness servers (which produce blocks) and then broadcast STEEM/SBD price feeds to the network. In a nutshell, the witnesses keep the economy afloat.
Their job is similar to that of a miner (miners) in Bitcoin. On the STEEM Blockchain, a number of users must be ready to construct blocks and employ a consensus technique known as DPOS (Delegated Proof of Stake).
I have vote @steemchiller, @justyy and @exnihilo.witness as a witness, I don't have a good reason why I chose the three of them.
I only know them as a developer, SteemWorld.org developed by @steemchiller and Steemyy.com developed by @justyy.
Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?
I already follow several communities, but I am only active in a handful of them. I join various communities in order to meet new people, and I'm also seeking for a community that will accept me as I am.

Okay, that's my #achievement6 post; hopefully it's informative, and I'll be able to pass the verification in this Achievement.
