ACHIEVEMENT 4 BY @arashid TASK: APPLYING MARKDOWN
Hello guys.
I am very excited to get connected with you all today.
I would like to present my work for the @achievement4 task.
In this post I would be demonstrating five (5) ways of applying markdown.
My submission is as follows:
HOW TO JUSTIFY A TEXT
Sometimes we like to make our text spacious for it to stand out or be aligned in the middle.
To justify a piece of text, follow the example below:
<div class="text-justify">
My name is Mohammed Abdul-Rashid. I am a Ghanaian and a Medical Student at the University for Development Studies. I am very excited to be part of this wonderful family.
</div>
The Output will be
(Without the justify command it would look like ):
My name is Mohammed Abdul-Rashid. I am a Ghanaian and a Medical Student at the University for Development Studies. I am very excited to be part of this wonderful family.
HOW TO ADD SUPERSCRIPT
In writing a word or a number raised to the power of a certain character, the superscript command is used. The superscript command is demonstrated below:
The speed of light is 3.80*108
m/s.
The output will be:
The speed of light is 3.0*108m/s
HOW TO ADD SUBSCRIPT
When writing certain words especially chemical formulas, most of them have subscripts. Therefore in order to represent them as they are, the subscript command is used which is input the text or number here
The subscript command is demonstrated below:
N2O
The output will be:
The chemical formula of Nitrous Oxide is N2O.
HOW TO ADD LINKS
Often times we need to direct readers to our sources or to other users. To do this, we add links to our post. There are three ways by which links can be added:
Add the
@
sign before the username of a user to automatically create a clickable link that will lead you into the person's profile. For example:
With the username "rubilu123" , if i wish to make it a clickable link, I will simply add@
.
i.e @rubilu123Sometimes we can make a word or a sentence a clickable link. In other words, you can hide a link in a phrase or a word.
this is a link to Rubilu's blog spot
Another easiest method to create a link is to directly add the link into the post. It would be automatically recognized as a clickable link. An example is
https://steemit.com/@rubilu123
The result will be:
https://steemit.com/@rubilu123
HOW TO CREATE A HEADING
We usually would like to make a phrase or a word stand out. As in to make the word or phrase bold and be the heading of a particular paragraph. To do this, place a # before the word or phrase you want to write as the heading.
As you increase the number of "#" , the heading reduces in size. For example:
# Heading 1
## Heading 2
### Heading 3
#### Heading 4
##### Heading 5
###### Heading 6
The result of the above code will look like this:
Heading 1
Heading 2
Heading 3
Heading 4
Heading 5
Heading 6
That ends my post on ACHIEVEMENT 4.
Thank you very much.
