what is plagiarism?
Plagiarism means to present another person's work arts or their ideas making it to look like their own, without seeking consent from the author of the original work.
Types of plagiarism
Direct Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism involves copying someone else work or text word to word without changing even a single word, nor adding quotation marks to it, this type of plagiarism is done intentionally.
Self Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism is done by copying your own work and submitting it to different places or copying some part of your work and adding it to another work without seeking permission from the professors in charge.
Examples of this type of plagiarism is copying your work in Nursery School And Submitting It In High School.
Mosaic Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism is done when one copy phrase from someone with using quotation marks, or use another word to use instead of using the author word
Accidental Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism occurs when a person copy's someone else work and forget to cite it or don't use the proper source, or paraphrase the words by using same sentence.
How to stop plagiarism
1: Always Keep record of your source.
When you are giving a research to work on make sure you get the source of all the work you copy from someone, because it is a crime to copy someone's work and presenting it as you own.2: Quote and paraphrase
While writing a work if you copy a work from someone else make sure you paraphrase or use quotation marks to indicate that it is not your work.
Quotation is when you copy someone's work word to word you have to use it in your own words then the original own should be in a quotation marks to show where you got it from.3: Cite the original source
Every time you copy someone's work, make sure you cite it be it words or image you can add the year of publication and the number of pages as the case might be to avoid being caught up in the act of plagiarism.4: use a plagiarism checker
When you are done with any of your work you can visit the plagiarism checker website to confirm the Uniqueness of your work before presenting it.
