Achievement 4 by @alhajibabajnr Task : Applying Markdowns
Hello guys!
i will like to share my experience with you in this Ghanaian festival.
This is festival celebrated by the people of Namasa in Ghana, I had the chance to experience it.
It all started on the 27th day of August where natives of the communities living elsewhere outside the village return home after long days, the festival is made to celebrate young girl who stay chaste throughout their life before marriage, these are girls must remain virgin (no pre-marital sex) till a man comes home to pay for their bride price.
These ladies are allowed to climb a podium which is very high above the ground, in their hands are horse tail and they are wrapped in a local cloth called KenTey
their feet and palms are design with a tattoo that can last for few days and vanish. The elderly person of each house visit a river in the community called Zoona were it is believed that golden jewels a picked from for the festival and they must be return to the river once the culture festival ends.
It is believed that ladies who are not virgin or who have aborted before cannot climb the high podium because they will fall down.
