Greetings from sunny Ireland!! For once I'm not even joking. The sun was splitting the rocks today and I was on a half day, so there was only one thing to do, dust down the Barbeque and have an outdoor dinner. What better way to spend in the lead up to St Patricks day.

I also had the forethought to book a few days off work so I plan to have a few nice Irish beverages later on. The plan is to have a Zoom call with my friends. We'll play virtual poker, enjoy some nice cold cans of Guinness and might even top it off with a few Jamesons for a night cap. Sure why not for the day that's almost upon us!

St Patrick's day is a big deal here in Ireland and it's been strange the last couple of years because of that virus you might have heard about.. But hey you just have to make the most of it. My kids are big into it too and here is some of the art they made to celebrate the day.

You see St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and his day the 17th of March is celebrated every year with parades and a day of celebrations.

St Patricks day is not just a big deal in Ireland. Many of our friends around the world celebrate it too and they usually brighten up their famous landmarks with the green of St Patrick. Here is just a taste of the landmarks that turn Irish for one day only!

This makes me extremely proud to see so many countries united in honour of our tiny green country on the edge of Europe. Thank you all for the beautiful solidarity.
