My post is about Bougainvillea (genus Bougainvillea, originally from Brazil).

It is a beautiful climbing plant, its most common colours are red or pink. Also white or orange. In the Mediterranean it is cultivated in gardens, and grows as a bush, hedge...etc.

A curious fact: in Honduras it is called "Napoleon".

Bougainvillea flowers in summer, and can be grown either in the ground or in a large pot. It needs little water and a lot of light.

I have taken most of the photos I show you in Ibiza, where this plant is abundant.
