One Day in My Town...

What would you do if you found yourself in my town for one day? Where would you go? What food would you try?

As a response to the One day in my Town contest organized by @greatketty, I have decided to walk you through two beautiful places you would love to visit, if you ever found yourself in my town...

First of all, I stay in the most populous city in Africa - and that is Lagos, Nigeria. It is a very busy city, and it is often said that residents spend at least half of their day in traffic. This is probably exaggerated, but definitely quite close to the truth.

Anyways, if you found yourself in Lagos, where do you go first? Let me help you...

First, I would recommend one of the numerous beaches that surrounds the city. It would provide you with a symbolic way to cool yourself from what would definitely have been a few hot hours in Lagos traffic....

The entry fee to the Landmark beach is 2000 Nigerian Naira (which would sit just around 5 Steem at the moment), while meals within would cost anywhere from 7.5 Steem and above)

I guess it's fair to say we had a great time... Here is my favourite photo from that trip... I like to tell people that I was walking on water... lol...

Another good place to visit if you found yourself in Lagos would be the Cinema. It would be the perfect place to unwind while you treated yourself to the trending movie(s) from either Hollywood or Nollywood (the Nigerian movie industry). Trust me, Cinemas in Lagos are usually top-notch, and they are usually found within the malls in the city.

One of these is the Genesis Cinema, located in Maryland Mall, and you would absolutely love the place.

Tickets to see a movie here are around 3500 Nigerian Naira (approximately around the 9 Steem mark), and it comes with complimentary snacks and drink to take in with every ticket purchased.
