• The name of my town is Meherpur.
  You will be surprised to know that this is the smallest district in Bangladesh. It is located on the banks of the river Mathabhanga. About 40,000 people live in this small town. Meherpur municipality consists of 9 wards and 61 mahallas. For each ward there is a councilor elected by direct vote. The mayor is the head of the municipality.

• Area: 15.9 sq km (6.1 sq mi)
  2700 people live per sq km.
  Like almost all other cities, it is home to rich and powerful people. They meet almost all their needs here.

• There are different opinions behind the naming of Meherpur, according to the historian Kumudnath Mallik, some even referred to this place as the abode of Mihir-Khana and imagined Mihirpur from the name of Mihir.

• This idea of ​​naming is based on conjecture and imagination. There is one more opinion about naming. Dr. According to Ashraf Siddiqui, the region was named after Meher Ali Shah, a 16th century saint.
  

Best Food in my town:

I am not saying it is my own city If you want to eat the most delicious food in the country at low cost, you must come to my city. Although the town is small, there are many very tasty dishes available here.

Here you will get 200-450 rupees per kg of sweets. Here you will find about 11 types of sweets. And get yogurt which is famous in my area. You will get yoghurt at 160 taka per kg.

Meat of Chhamad Hotel:

If you want to eat rice with full stomach and very tasty meat with it, then you will be in my city slowly. Every day people come here from far and wide to eat rice and meat. The price of every piece of meat is only 100 taka. Each piece has 4 pieces of meat.

Mukul's Drink leaves:

Here you will find the most delicious Misty Pana in my city. Once you put the drink in your mouth, you will not want to take it out of your mouth. It will make you drink with 24 kinds of spices. You will find assorted drinks here. Starting from 10 taka,you can get up to 500 taka here. After the evening you have to stand in line and have a drink.

Saju tea:

Our daily chat is like frozen without tea. And if there is Saju tea in the chat of these friends, then there is no word. You will get only 5 taka per cup of tea. Once you drink this tea, you will remember it for the rest of your life. Everyone in my town, big or small, drinks this tea.

Sumon's salted almond paste:

Selling ripe nuts with raw chillies like this is probably only available in my town. This Sumon's shop is always crowded as it is cheap and delicious. It is very famous in my town with this delicious nut. He will take 100 taka by cutting a whole nut and smearing it with salt. Which is very healthy compared to the taste.
