Contest: Favorite game in my childhood and favorite toy in my childhood #4 initiated by @strecoza "Slippers and lot's of slippers game"

Reminiscing childhoods brings a lot of happy memories and indeed a start of great learnings. Growing up and standing strong.. when engaging at young age it makes you a better person in the future and build confidence.My favorite toy is not expensive nor cheap. You can find it anywhere within your house and can use it anytime, you don't need to buy this for playing purposes for it's available to you plus with this kind of toy you can play as many games as you wish and is really fun and engaging.

So here's my favorite toy a "slipper". There were lot's of game I played way back then with my childhood friends, schoolmates and my siblings. One of the most unforgettable thing we played with the slippers it's called "bahay kubo". From the name "bahay kubo" we formed by the slipper like the roof of a bahay kubo like this..

The mechanics of the game is that one person will guard the slipper and the opponents will throw slippers into it to destroy the formation. If the "bahay kubo" will get destroy you can freely get the slippers you throw but if it will stand still you need to be quick and fast to get your slipper without being caught by the guard and return to home base. What makes it memorable when we play it with my classmates inside ours school playground when one of my classmate throw the slipper and she accidentally hit our Science teacher on the face "it's like a slapped on her face which turns red immediately". Where so scared for we're afraid of being scold but then as kid's we still manage to laugh for the situation. It was indeed a scary yet a happy and fun experience.

And here's a lot more games a slipper games. We have slipper butter it's like baseball game it consist of two group. The mechanics of the game are the same of how baseball game played but for slipper butter it is just the slipper that we use as the ball and your hand as the baseball bat (that you give all your strength to throw the thrown slipper for it to reach the farthest and have some tricks for it not to get catch by the catcher and for you to run quickly and reach to home base.

With slippers you can also play Bato Lata that's what we called it in our place. With this game we need a can of any size and of course my favorite so toy the slipper. The mechanics of the are mostly of the bahay kubo slipper game but for this game instead of using the slippers formed bahay kubo we replaced it with the can and same with the bahay we need someone to guard the empty can and we throw slippers to it. Another game with slippers is Slipper Mannequin Up it's like playing statue game. There's more of it like "Bagol and more..

I missed playing slipper games and seeing it nowadays especially now that more kid's prefer computer games and watching YouTube tv. It's dar different from our experience way back then as they say iba ang banang 90's pinoy. For they have lots of games that builds kid's engaging ability, strength, confidence and lot's of learning as it we grow. We might get hurt, injured and sometimes bleeds or have cuts but it's worth the experience.

Upon writing this brings smiles to my face and happy heart reminiscing my childhood. Indeed a great and memorable experience.
