STEEM PLANTS CONTEST WEEK #11 || My first time encounter with Nipplefruit Nightshade (Solanum mammosum)
Hello good day to this amazing community! Today I will showcase and share my experience about the plant Nipplefruit Nightshade.
I am wandering in Buwakan ni Alejandra, a well-known public garden here in Cebu Philippines when my attention was caught in this tree with orange looking fruit. At first, I thought it was an orange fruit but it is not. I am amazed by the looks of it because of its nipple-like shape with somewhat ears at the tip.
This is Nipplefruit Nightshade or Solanum mammosum , a perennial plant with orange and tender fruit which is reported as invasive and poisonous in some parts of the world. It is also called as "pig's ear", "cows ears" or "apple of Sodom" in other places. As I look for this plant in the internet it says that it is common in tropical countries but it surprised me to see it first time here in the Philippines.

Hey! This is the first time I've seen such unusual fruits, so I can't tell you its name. these orange fruits remind me of sweet peppers in shape and color. It would be interesting to know a little more about this plant. Thanks for participating!
