Samiel, un Tuxedo sin igual.
No me caben las palabras para expresar mi admiración por él. Me siento privilegiada y bendecida por tenerlo en casa.
Es magnífico. Desde su origen lo sé, pues conocí a sus padres y los estimé como se estima a las mascotas que ves a diario en casa de tus vecinos. Su mamá era una gata muy noble, de raza Tabby, sin hogar, que vivía bajo un auto abandonado y que entre varios alimentamos muchas veces. Ella fue acogida por una familia; hoy día es una gata protegida, consentida y esterilizada. Su padre era un tuxedo enorme, hermoso, muy asustadizo que nunca fue castrado y terminó desapareciendo cómo muchos gatos cuando entran en la fase del celo.
Cuando conocí a mi Sami me miró fijamente con sus ojitos amarillos y con su carita de "llévame contigo", me conquistó y al reconocerlo (por su apariencia de enmascarado) entre sus hermanitos durmiendo en una caja, lo tomé y lo traje a casa.
Recuerdo que no podía ni caminar, pues desde que nació permaneció más de un mes en ese sitio y no había usado sus patitas traseras.
Era un literal trasto. Un niño súper travieso, para quien no había barreras. El primer día se escapó de la habitación donde lo habíamos alojado para que el otro gato que teníamos, llamado Diego, lo fuese aceptando. Los gatos son muy territoriales.
Samiel se impuso. Era un desastre. Una bolita de pelos que no permitía dormir, pasaba el día acosando a Diego y dormía sobre él.
Un año después, jugaban y retozaban todo el día. Pero Diego enfermó y se marchó al cielo de los gatos.
Samiel ya había aprendido a ser un gato Alfa y todo lo que se tiene que saber para proteger la casa. O al menos eso es lo que creen los gatos.
Cuando llegó una nueva hermanita, nos costó un poco hacer que la aceptara. Y allí están, juntos y revueltos muchas horas, otras, van cada uno por su lado.
Samiel me ama, tiene una especial preferencia por mí. Nos apapachamos, nos queremos con solo mirarnos. He sabido darle amor del bueno y también disciplina. Es un gato prudente, respetuoso, arrogante como todo gato. Pero sobre todo muy inteligente, estratégico. Cuando tiene un objetivo, puede aguardar horas enteras hasta conseguirlo. Y lo logra, la mayoría de las veces. Ha cazado cuánta ave y presa nunca nos habíamos imaginado y siempre nos deja boquiabiertos.
Ama las cajas, el cepillado matutino, el modo paseo de papá y la lechosa. Odia las tormentas eléctricas y los niños que gritan. Le gusta ver llover y cazar libélulas. Hace 7 años tiene una hermosa vida de gato protegido y una etiqueta en Instagram: # SamielCat

Samiel, a tuxedo like no other
Samiel is a great tuxedo.
Words cannot express my admiration for him. I feel privileged and blessed to have him at home.
He is magnificent. From the origin of him I know, because I met his parents and I esteemed them as the pets that you see every day at your neighbors' house are esteemed. His mother was a very noble cat, of the Tabby breed, homeless, who lived under an abandoned car and between several of us we fed many times. She was taken in by a family; Today she is a protected, pampered and sterilized cat. Her father was a huge, beautiful, very scary tuxedo that was never neutered and ended up disappearing like many cats when they enter the heat phase.
When I met my Sami he stared at me with his little yellow eyes and with his "take me with you" face, he conquered me and when I recognized him (by his masked appearance) among his little brothers sleeping in a box, I took him and brought him home. I remember that he could not even walk, since since he was born he stayed more than a month in that place and had not used his hind legs.
It was a literal junk. A super naughty boy, for whom there were no barriers. The first day he ran away from the room where we had housed him so that the other cat we had, named Diego, would accept him. Cats are very territorial.
Samiel prevailed. It was a disaster. A ball of hair that did not allow sleeping, spent the day harassing Diego and slept on him.
A year later, they played and frolicked all day. But Diego fell ill and went to the heaven of cats.
Samiel had already learned to be an Alpha cat and everything you have to know to protect the house. Or at least that's what cats believe.
When a new little sister arrived, it took us a while to get her to accept her. And there they are, together and scrambled for many hours, others go their own way.
Samiel loves me, he has a special preference for me. We cuddle up, we love each other just by looking at each other. I have been able to give him good love and also discipline. He is a prudent, respectful cat, arrogant like any cat. But above all very intelligent, strategic. When he has a goal, he can wait whole hours to achieve it. And he succeeds, most of the time. He has hunted how much bird and prey we had never imagined and he always leaves us speechless.
He loves boxes, morning brushing, daddy's walk mode, and milky. He hates thunderstorms and screaming kids. He likes to watch it rain and hunt dragonflies. He has had a beautiful protected cat life for 7 years and a tag on Instagram: # SamielCat
