Contest: My Favorite Childhood Game @gentles
Greetings Steemians. I am glad to be a participant of this contest. Thanks @strecoza
When i was young, I lived in community where we used to have fun by playing a lot of games, We played some outdoors games like football and others, we also played some indoors games as well. There was one game i liked the most. A close friend of mine just received a nokia phone from his dad on his 10th birthday as a present, i was 10 years old as well. I go there to pretend to visit him but what i really went there for was the nokia bounce game he had on the phone. My mom will caution me not to leave the house but and i will still sneak out back just to go play the game. It felt like i was addicted.
In case you are wondering what Bounce is like and how it got me addicted, here is what it is.
Bounce is a nokia game that came already installed on most nokia phones. It was first released in 2001. The player is supposed to avoid enemies which looked like some yellow obstacles and other enemies which also looked like some spikey blue moving objects, look for hooks, pass through all of them in order to win. The enemies are avoided by not touching them. You lose a life when you do. What interests me most was that this game had cheat codes that only few knew about. The cheat codes made the ball invisible and even make the ball fly in the air. The code was 787898 for invisibility and the symbol "#" is pressed in addition to the code to make the ball fly in the air. I got this code when i told a cousin who was not in our community about it, he was playing already then he gave me the codes. I was the genius of the game in my community. if you needed to perform some cheat abilities you just pay me a small fee, it was free for the phone's owner. I had written down the code somewhere to make sure i don't forget it but a friend found out about it and it was over for me.
Bounce is a fun game that even some elderly enjoyed. You have missed something great if you haven't played yet. Bounce is my childhood favorite game and i loved it.
